• Notifications and scheduling

  Waiting for the day we can choose to disable the repost activity in the app. I’ll see that I have 30+ notifications in the app so when I go to check the activity to which of my videos is getting love, it’s all “so-and-so liked a video you reposted” and “so-and-so reposted a video you reposted”. I only want to the activity be related to the content *I* post, not the stuff I’ve reposted. I have the app and in app notifications turned off already, this is pertaining to the Activity section that we access through the inbox tab. We need the option to choose what activity we want in our feed, if we get that, I can turn off the repost activity and never have to deal with that again. The only time I want a repost activity notification is if someone has reposted MY videos, not anyone else’s.

  The only other thing I can think for TikTok to add is a scheduling/queue feature like tumblr has. I know TT Studio has a scheduling feature, but the post will still stay in your drafts after you schedule it and it posts. Tumblr will actually clear the thing out from your queue, not keep it there. There was no reason to keep the scheduling feature off TT and have to make it available on a separate app entirely, and then it turns out the scheduling feature is buggy on said other app because it doesn’t clear the draft after it’s been posted via scheduling.

• Disgusting. Only gave it five stars so everyone can see this especially parents and help me fix this

  I’ve had TikTok since it’s came out and its post has just become more and more sexual. I understand that it’s not TikTok who post this and it’s many other people but the fact that when you report a sexual video that is doing something you are able to report and you report it TikTok doesn’t do anything and says there is nothing wrong with the video. I feel like there needs to be a lot more restriction in what people are able to post because even though you might not know it there are little kids on TikTok who are now learning what they don’t need to know or seeing what they don’t need to see. That “want a macaroon” trend is disgusting and I’ve reported it multiple times just for TikTok to say there is nothing wrong with it when it’s basically still adult nudity. TikTok fix this bc it’s disgusting how you guys don’t have any real guidelines and this is what your allowing to be posted but when a little girl post one video of herself playing appropriately with dolls you want to take it down and talk about how it’s because of their age but don’t want to regulate the people who are posting about being pregnant by choice at 12 and wanting to flex it or people posting themselves doing sexual poses in provacative outfits.

• [LIVE] Issues

  I originally joined Tik Tok because I enjoyed watching the livestreams of other creators. After about a year, the [LIVE] button disappeared from my ‘For You Page,’ & I have no idea why. I’ve put in several reports, but there doesn’t seem to be a solution. Other people still have the option on their phones, yet mine just simply disappeared. I’ve tried clearing the cache, updating, uninstalling & reinstalling, restarting phone, etc. Nothing has fixed this issue & it’s been like this for nearly a year now. I miss having the option to scroll through livestreams seamlessly. A lot of the creators I follow were found through the [LIVE] “channel.” I can still go to someone’s page and click on their livestream, but the lack of convenience has made it difficult to tune into them. I turned on the option to receive notifications when a creator I follow goes LIVE, but that only works about 30% of the time, if even. It’s very frustrating that the reports I’ve sent to Tik Tok support get responded to with vague answers that offer zero solution. They can’t even tell me why the option is exclusively gone for me, but not others in my area. When researching the cause, I found several other users were affected by this issue as well, with zero solution & zero accountability on the behalf of Tik Tok. It seems sketchy & it’s very frustrating. This problem needs to be properly addressed & resolved, NOW. You’re losing viewers & money. Fix it already, PLEASE.

• Cannot favorite and banned accounts

  Hello TikTok, and the fellow reader that’s reading this. I just wanted to address that I am having a problem where I cannot favorite videos— I would go onto my for you page and see a video that I love and want to come back to later to watch and when I want to put it into a collection, I can’t. Because of it not being in my favorites, so I try again, but there’s no luck because the amount of favorited videos remains the same as before I go onto my for you page. So I’m thinking “It might just be something wrong with this video” so I go and check out another, and the same thing happens. So I research thinking it’s just my WiFi, turns out it’s not and i can favorite videos perfectly on my other account. So, i research again and i follow directions— power off phone, I download, update, ect. None of these tactics work. So now I’m here contemplating how I’m going to favorite the videos. But overall—theapp has very nice features and everything else runs smoothly except for the comment sections as well. Sometimes the reply to someone else’s comment would glitch or their display name, which gets me annoyed since I can’t really read what the beginning of their comment is. Everything else is perfect, I know TikTok will be going through a banning soon, but just so the other users won’t go through this experience.
