• iPad version is awful

  I just downloaded the latest version of Instagram on my iPad and the new look is just awful. When you open Instagram it is all reels of people I do not follow. If I want to see videos I could go to explorer. I have to click friends tab to see my friends posts. When you are scrolling, the reels stop half way through and I have to shut down Instagram. Stories are now on the reels home page and not with my friends, so I have to go back and forth. DM’s are the worse. They split the screen, so you see all messages on one side and the message who you are replying too. The screen to whom you are messaging is so small. It’s a hard read. A lot of people use an iPad because the phone screen is small and hard to read and now the I-Pad is the same. Also when you comment back to someone, again, small screen, but when you click there name to go to there page, it shows up 1/2 screen when I am commenting, so I hav to click it to view there page at full screen. It’s terrible. If you are planning on keeping this app, please fix the comments and dm page. I can’t work on this`, and I know I am not alone. I’ve been with Instagram since the very beginning and for the past 10+ years, I have always used my iPad to work on Instagram, so I don’t understand why you needed an app. Please make the iPad version the same as the phone.

• Great App, terrible Moderators

  I really like scrolling through the videos in this app. I think it could replace TikTok if ever outlawed. Posting is pretty easy. It keeps up with the times well. But my biggest complaint is moderation. Moderators on this app are the most incompetent of anything I’ve ever seen. There are people that use AI to make themselves look like they have Down syndrome and post an onlyfans account and sexualize themselves and this genetic condition. I reported them, and often they do not get removed, which is sick. I have reported actual cyber bullying, and Instagram does nothing. But my account got flagged for one comment AFTER I deleted it. The moderation on that app is the absolute most incompetent and unprofessional and unethical of anything I’ve ever seen. I will not be giving more than 3 stars until I see an improvement on cracking down on immoral behavior. Instagram also allows hate speech and harmful messages about taking rights away from others, presumably because of “free speech”. I am not sure what the moderators are on, but it isn’t moral. TikTok is better about this. I have just stopped using it because of my mental health. Also, you need options to delete all your comments at once or remove all your likes. I have wanted to start fresh and it takes way too much effort. Some of the settings work like a high schooler programmed it in a programming class instead of an actual app. I like most of the app, but these issues need resolving.

• I keep getting banned for no reason.

  Ok so basically i had a account and it got banned i appealed from it and i waited 2-3 days and tried to log back mind you i dont even know what i did i woke up and i was banned so when i logged back in after appealing they told me my account was permanently banned and said for “Child pornography “ so my first response was 🤨 first of all im not a child. I am a grown adult. secondly I never once sent or posted any nude pictures of myself or anyone else. so i moved on from that account which was kinda hard due to the fact i built that account for about 7 months and was at 1.4k but whatever i moved on so i had another account after that i had this account for about a month i got off the app to go do something on messenger i sent a message then it kicks me off saying i’ve been banned i go to look at my instagram because i don’t even post at all on facebook so it was no way i got banned on there. So i went to instagram and i was banned again for “Child pornography”

  and i was really confused because i barely posted that day and i don’t have that bad of memory to just forget. i tried to make 2 other accounts to start another one because im getting banned for no reason at all. Both accounts got banned. one for them as soon as i made it and one of them about 15 minutes after i made it. Honestly im really just confused at this point. I tried reaching out though im not hearing back from nobody.

• Pretty alright :)

  Instagram has been a pretty positive platform for me, it’s where I can go to find a lot of communities with my same hobbies and interests, and can send my friends endless memes… that being said I wish I could give this app a 5 star, but ever since it dropped its standards on what is allowed to be shown and not allowed, it’s become a very negative space for myself and many other people. By this I mean I’ve reported many accounts who would post videos of themselves in paper thin shirts dousing water on themselves and leaving NOTHING to anyone’s imagination. Or a video of someone clearly not wearing anything below and you could see everything, but because she was wearing mesh over her “private” it was considered decent. These new guidelines help only fans creators which I have no quarrels with, it’s none of my business what they do with their lives, but I did not want to see that, and it’s continuously popping up on my feed, if they could at least create something where it’s censored with any content like that or the whole account be censored so that people know what they’re getting into that would be great, but as of now “your report has been processed and no action was taken.” Guys, there are minors on this page, they are consuming soft core 🌽 as the government adjusts its laws this will soon become a very big liability, and I hope Instagram does something about this.

  Meta is literally suspending thousands of accounts for child exploitation due to their new AI system and they have gone blind to it, not addressing or fixing their problems. This is why AI should never be replacing real human jobs. Things like this happen and it hurts a lot of people. I sincerely hope this issue is resolved and fixed ASAP because thousands of people are losing their business accounts, their sense of income, memories, photos and videos, and contact with family and friends through meta services. All for something they didn’t do. It’s sickening. People who post literal CP are able to continue their usage of their accounts, but normal people are being suspended for CSE with no trace of it on their activity at all. And don’t even bother making a new account. They’ll get that one too. This isn’t just happening on Instagram, either — it’s happening across facebook too. Meta is radiosilent and they’re impossible to contact. This is a serious issue, and it’s not being addressed. Not only is this affecting users, but it’s affecting the app too which makes it even more boggling that meta hasn’t addressed this issue. Thousands of users are physically unable to use or access their accounts. Thousands. This is hurting meta too.
